L’Artisan des Glaces Is Now Open
There is a brand new ice cream shop in Epcot. L’Artisan des Glaces opened on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the France Pavilion. It is located in the back of the area, towards the left, where Boulangerie Patisserie used to be located. The shop is easy to miss but well worth the effort to find.
The shop features 16 different flavors of ice cream or sorbet. You can order one or two scoops in a cup or a waffle cone. One scoop costs $3.99 and it’s $6.10 for two. In an interesting twist, an ice cream “martini” is available to those of age. For $11.50 you can pick your flavor of ice cream, served with Epic Vodka, Clement, or Grand Marnier. It is served in a martini glass.
Since L’Artisan des Glaces is brand new most people do not even know that it is there, so at the moment it is not crowded. There is limited outside seating. The staff is friendly and helpful. The ice cream itself is rich, creamy and a bit softer than most ice cream that is sold in the United States. At the moment there is no Annual Pass discount and it is not a part of the Disney Dining Plan.
